In Bloom is a solo performance, conceived, choreographed and performed by Aline Costa.

In this work, Costa speaks volumes without uttering a word. She marks her territory without commentary. She kicks up the dirt whilst sowing grotesque seeds of disquiet. She stamps out her earthy vision with vigour, and dark determination, whilst creating a fragrant, fragile space. Who knew one so delicate could make such a racket?

In Bloom is a solo performance that repeatedly corners Costa, (de)pressing her against a wall of preconception, and challenging her to dig deeper.

Physical Fest 2023 Female Bursary winner; later developed with ACE support and mentorship from Liz Aggiss.

This performance is part of a dance double bill, It is possible that the two performances will be switched – we recommend coming at 7.30pm for both shows.

 This is a family friendly show, but ideally for teenagers +12 to adults.
