A CINEMA AT THE CONTINENTAL SPECIAL
Join Cinema at The Continental for a special screening of REPUTATION and Q&A afterwards with the film’s Preston born and bred producer and director Martin Law. Filmed locally in Lancashire, in only 9.5 days, you don’t want to miss this “damn impressive” (Nerdly) psychological crime drama.
Reputation. It’s everything. For drug dealer Wes, it’s something which will test him to the limit. With more and more residents in Dennings getting hooked on "Clown" – a new form of ecstasy – it’s 30-year-old Wes who’s cashing in. He’s happy keeping the operation small in The Den; but when partner-in-crime Tommy returns from a short stint in prison, Wes starts to question if this life is for him anymore…
Influences range from Shane Meadows’ Dead Man’s Shoes to Larry Clark’s Bully; from Eran Creevy’s Shifty to Nicolas Winding Refn’s Pusher trilogy. Co-written with Dean Gregson & Jordan Derbyshire, this is a psychological character study; an intimate look at loyalty, greed and power in Broken Britain.
