An evening of open-air, socially distanced Jazz with Caroline Boaden (Drums), Gary Culshaw (Bass), Paul Kilvington (Keys) and special guest appearance from Harold Salisbury on Saxophone.
Caroline 'Caz' Boaden is one of the most respected and experienced drummers around, with a career that has taken in playing with a range of jazz artists including Art Farmer, Jason Rebello, Peter King, Eberhard Weber, Kenny Davern, Iain Dixon and Mike Walker.
A master of drums and percussion in all genres, Caroline is always in demand and has accompanied/supported Take That, The Stylistics, and Texas! She is senior lecturer in drums at Leeds Conservatoire.
Paul Kilvington has toured extensively world wide performing with many artists including Cathy Dennis.
Equally capable in soul, jazz, pop, musicals appearing on TV shows such as Top of the Pops, Smash Hits Awards, World Music Awards, Paul has played in the UK’s largest gigs - Docklands Arena Stadium and Sheffield Don Valley Arena as Music Director/keyboard player for Cleopatra when supporting the Spice Girls!
On a jazz level he has performed notably with Bob Mintzer from Yellowjackets, Branford Marsalis, and Jack Jones on his UK tours, including the London Palladium.
Paul formed the Latin jazz ensemble Amazonia to perform his own compositions
Gary Culshaw of five-string fretless bass fame has taught at LIPPA, Leeds college of Music, and Liverpool University.
The list of musicians Gary has worked with in his long career as a professional musician reads like the who's who of Jazz from Peter Erskine and John Taylor to Nikki Isles, Kenny Wheeler, Mike Gibbs and Vince Mendoza, Anthony Braxton, Mike Walker, Iain Dixon, Billy Jenkins, John Etheridge, Bill Frizzell, and Tommy Smith
Gary was also a part of Mike Gibbs' Creative Jazz Orchestra performing works by Mark Anthony Turnage.
