Damson Poets event this month is on the 26th June and will be held in the snug.

 

Guest Readers are Steve Rowland and David Wilkinson.

 

We will have our usual open mic slots for people to sign up for on the night. The start time is 7-30pm and we finish at 9-30pm. Free entry.

 

David Wilkinson holds BA degrees in English and Theology and an M.Phil degree. He was a youth worker, a C of E Vicar and ran an antiquarian bookshop in Ambleside. He was a member of the Dove Cottage Poets, meeting regularly with the Poets in Residence to discuss and critique poetry. He has been broadcast on Radio 4 and is a member of the PPS and Damson Poets. He has a personal collection of over 1,000 poetry books and, now in semi-retirement, has more time to read and write poetry.

 

Steve Rowland is a former music journalist who studied English Literature at Warwick University. He hosts the Lancashire Dead Good Poets events in St Annes on the second Thursday of every month. He still has plans for that novel. In his spare time Steve is the Secretary of the Blackpool Supporters Trust.
